Regulation on the Use of Electronic Data Files

(General users)
The general users (refer to as "Kou") will use the electronic data files
provided by the Health and Welfare Statistics Association (refer to as "Otsu")
in acordance with the rules specified below.

(Ordering of data)
Article No.1
Kou will fill in the electronic Data Ordering Form and send it to Otsu to
purchase the electronic data files.

(Acceptable types of use)
Article No.2
1 Kou is allowed to use the provided electronic data files for his/her own use.
Kou is not permitted to provide, to sell and to transfer the provided data files
to any third party.
2 Own use which is described above means that if the Kou is enterprise or
organization the data files can be used by them for their purposes and
if Kou is individual he or she uses it for his/her own purposes.
3 Kou is not allowed to prepare the printed matters/publications by
using the provided data files. It may be acceptable in case that Kou
obtains the permission for such use in advance from Otsu.

(Processing on commission)
Article No.3
When Kou makes the processing of the provided data files on commission,
Kou must observe the commissioned processing and the data files used
and its products shall be returned(or erased) to Kou after completing the
commissioned processing as soon as possible.

(Defect and obstacle)
Article No.4
1. Otsu do not have any responsibility for the defects and obstacles on
the contents of the provided data and attached documents.
2. After the reception of the provided data, Kou will examine the
presence of physical defects or obstacles immediately. As the result
of the examination, when Kou find out the physical defects, such as
error in reading the data, Kou can ask to Otsu for the exchange of the
electronic data within 14 days after its reception.

(Other)
Article No.5
1. When Kou violates this regulation, Otsu can take a measure of
prohibiting the use of the provided data files.
2. In case of the occurance of problems which are not specified in
this regulation, Kou and Otsu may settle it by observing faith.

(Providing the data to third parties)

As for providing the provided data to third parties, except the prepared statistical
data by editing/tabulating the provided data, it is prohibited to provide them
(both the provided original data and its duplicated data) to any third parties.
